How Handy can a Magnetic Spice Rack Actually Be?

Because a cupboard full of sliding jars was never anyone's idea of "organised."

If your spice cupboard looks like a small avalanche waiting to happen, the Westmark Magnetic Spice Rack is one of the more sensible fixes out there — a stainless steel rack that holds four small tins and sticks straight onto your fridge, no drilling, no extra shelf space required.

The specs: four 75ml stainless steel tins with clear lids, each with two openings — one for a light sprinkle, one for a proper pour. The rack itself measures 27.5cm x 8.4cm x 8cm, attaches via magnets, and comes with a 5-year warranty. Care is hand wash only, which is fair enough for something that lives on the side of a fridge rather than in a dishwasher rotation.

Compared to a standard cupboard rack or a spice drawer, this does something those can't: it uses dead vertical space on the side of the fridge instead of eating into cupboard or counter real estate. Reviewers have mentioned mounting two sets vertically down the fridge side, which effectively turns unused space into a mini spice wall — something no wall-mounted or drawer-based system can offer without actual installation.

The honest downside: not every fridge is magnetic. A lot of stainless steel fridges have a non-magnetic outer panel, so it's worth testing with any fridge magnet before ordering — if it doesn't hold, this rack won't either. There's also the small matter of capacity: four tins is enough for the essentials, but anyone with a proper spice collection will likely need two or three sets to cover everything, which adds up.

Price: £24 for the set of four.

Bottom line: a neat, well-made solution for small kitchens and renters who can't drill into walls — just confirm your fridge is actually magnetic first, and budget for a second set if your spice collection runs past the basics.
